My Personal Story – Fourteen Emigrants

You might say that it required 14 people to make the long journey from Sweden to Texas to make a Texan out of me. Well, that’s what it took.

This collection of 14 of my ancestors included:

Two (2) – grandfathers,

Four (4) – great-grandfathers,

Two (2) – great-grandmothers,

Three (3) – great-great-grandfathers,

Three (3) – great-great-grandmothers,

They saw the challenge and they conquered the perils of that dangerous trip from Sweden to Texas.

I do indeed owe them an enormous amount of gratitude for their sacrifices, but, from what little of what I have learned about life in Sweden today – it’s not bad over there.
